New plaque unveiled at Highgate site of 17th century poet’s long-lost cottage

the plaque marks the approximate site on highgate hill where Andrew Marvell is believed to have spent much of his adult life. it bears a colour image of the cottage based on an 1869 photograph. the plaque also recognises Marvell's work as a political satirist who evaded his political.
