Lavrov On Israel-Palestine Conflict & How Arabs Erred
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made a stunning remark on the ongoing issue between Israel and Palestine over the independence of the latter. In an interview to Al Arabiya, Lavrov said that Palestinians made mistake after rejecting the 1947 UN partition plan. He said that the 1948 Arab-Israeli war signified a missed opportunity to create a Palestinian state and stabilize the Middle East. He, however, slammed the Israeli government for undermining Palestinian statehood and is exacerbating the crisis, such as with its recent declaration of occupied West Bank lands as state property.
